At the second quarter earnings conference this year, AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su confirmed that the Ryzen 7000
series desktop processors will be released in the third quarter, further narrowing the time frame for new product releases, that is, within the next two months.
According to Wccftech, AMD may choose to release the Ryzen 7000 series desktop processors at 8:00 pm EST on August 29, 2022. The specific specifications and prices will be further announced, and the motherboard manufacturers will also release the preliminary prices of the X670 series motherboards. The review ban of related products will be lifted at 9:00 a.m. EST on September 13, 2022, followed by 9:00 a.m. ET on September 15, 2022, will be officially listed for sale.
The first batch of Ryzen 7000 series desktop processors will have four models, namely Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7700X, and Ryzen 5 7600X, corresponding to 16 cores and 32 threads, 12 cores and 24 threads, 8 cores and 16 threads, and 6 cores and 12 threads. Such a launch is similar to the Ryzen 5000 series at the beginning, and AMD should focus on the high-end segment in the early days of the new platform.
