AMD announces to end the 32-bit version of the graphics card driver this month
Subject to performance issues, 32-bit computers are still starting to drop significantly, although Microsoft is still supporting it, other vendors have to give up.
For example, NVIDIA has stopped releasing the 32-bit version of the graphics card driver earlier, and devices that still use this type can only use the old version of the graphics card driver.
The reason given by NVIDIA is very simple. The 32-bit version is too low, so there is no need for the company to release updates for such systems.
AMD will also stop supporting 32-bit:
There is already news on the Internet that AMD will announce a 32-bit version of the graphics card driver at the end of this month. The same users need to replace the 64-bit version as soon as possible.
Although the news has not yet received an official response from AMD, it is reasonable for NVIDIA to decide on the front of the company.
AMD is still releasing new graphics drivers for all 32-bit operating systems, including Windows and Linux supported distributions.
Users should also replace the new system as soon as possible:
Since the 32-bit version does not support more than 4G of memory, the new factory-installed device will install the 64-bit version of the operating system by default even if the memory is only 4G.
Convenient for consumers to re-install the operating system in the subsequent expansion of memory, the 32-bit version of the operating system can not directly install the 64-bit version of the operating system.
Of course, the traditional concept of 64-bit is more than 32-bit memory, but the reason is that there are too many devices with less than 4GB of memory.
