AMD and Ubisoft launched RX 7900 XTX AVATAR: Frontiers of Pandora customized version
AMD’s limited-edition offerings have always been exquisitely crafted, as exemplified by the previously reported “Starfield” suite. Drawing from insights provided by Windows Central, AMD has recently collaborated with Ubisoft’s AAA blockbuster, “AVATAR: Frontiers of Pandora,” unveiling a limited-edition RX 7900 XTX graphics card.
To resonate with the game’s aesthetic, this RX 7900 XTX edition predominantly features aqua and black hues. The aqua expanse is indeed vast, particularly when viewed from the side—encircling the card, presenting a striking departure from the conventional RX 7900 XTX’s design. Moreover, the fins adjacent to the power connector are tinged in white, a stark contrast to the quintessential Radeon red.
Furthermore, this graphics card boasts thermochromic ink on the backplate and the feather motifs of its wind shield. When the card is dormant, these designs meld seamlessly with the shell in a dark hue. However, as the card operates and generates heat, these patterns transition into aqua—a truly captivating design element.
While undeniably alluring, acquiring this graphic card is no simple feat for gamers: firstly, a mere 500 units exist; secondly, AMD will not market these directly. Their official stance suggests players might have opportunities to secure this coveted card during special events in the ensuing weeks. Hence, much like the “Stellar” edition, these cards will likely be prizes at select events, requiring a serendipitous stroke of luck for one to possess.
“AVATAR: Frontiers of Pandora” is a first-person action-adventure title, masterminded by Ubisoft’s Massive studio and launched under their banner. “AVATAR: Frontiers of Pandora” is slated for a release on December 7, 2023, gracing platforms such as PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Amazon Luna.
