Affordable RTX 40 SUPER Options Emerge from MSI
Next month, Nvidia is poised to unveil the GeForce RTX 40 series SUPER graphics cards, featuring three new models based on the Ada Lovelace architecture: RTX 4080 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4070 SUPER. These innovative additions are set to be released in stages, commencing in late January 2024.
As per VideoCardz, MSI is preparing to launch an initial batch of 12 models of the RTX 40 series SUPER graphics cards, offering four different products for each model.
MSI GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER:
– GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16G SUPRIM X
– GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16G GAMING X SLIM WHITE
– GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16G GAMING X SLIM
– GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16G VENTUS 3X OC
The GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER is equipped with the AD103-400 GPU, featuring a 64MB L2 cache and 10,240 CUDA cores. This represents a 5.3% increase from the current RTX 4080’s 9,728 CUDA cores. It will retain a 16GB memory capacity, with a PCB number of PG139-SKU355, and maintain a total power consumption of 320W.
MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER:
– GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16G GAMING X SLIM WHITE
– GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16G GAMING X SLIM
– GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16G VENTUS 2X WHITE OC
– GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16G VENTUS 2X OC
The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER will feature either the AD103-275 or AD102-175 GPU, with a 48MB L2 cache and 8,448 CUDA cores, a 10% increase over the existing RTX 4070 Ti’s 7,680 cores. Its PCB number is PG141-SKU323, and it will maintain a power consumption of 285W. The most significant change in this model is its memory, upgrading to 16GB of GDDR6X, thus increasing the memory bandwidth from 192-bit to 256-bit. Notably, MSI offers a dual-fan cooling design for the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, deviating from the common triple-fan setup.
MSI GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER:
– GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12G GAMING X SLIM WHITE
– GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12G GAMING X SLIM
– GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12G VENTUS 2X WHITE OC
– GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12G VENTUS 2X OC
The GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER will be powered by either the AD104-350 or AD103-175 GPU, with an L2 cache increased from the current RTX 4070’s 36MB to 48MB. The CUDA core count will also rise from 5,888 to 7,168, a substantial increase of about 21.7%. It will maintain a 12GB memory capacity, with a PCB number of PG141-SKU335, and a slight power consumption increase of 20W to 220W. MSI’s product arrangement for the RTX 4070 SUPER mirrors that of the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, differing only in the GPU chip and a reduced memory configuration.
Earlier reports indicated that the GeForce RTX 40 series SUPER would be officially announced at 9 AM Pacific Time on January 8, 2024.
