You should not expect new features in Windows 10 LTSC version
Recently, the Windows 10 Version 2004 version, which has made many users look forward to it, has finally been released. This version has many new features and optimization improvements that deserve attention.
It is estimated that many users who use the ordinary version have happily upgraded to the new version, while those who use LTSC’s long-term support are still stuck on the update 2 years ago.
LTSC refers to the Long-Term Servicing Channel. Microsoft will provide a support period of up to 10 years for such versions. Therefore, theoretically, no upgrade is required for 10 years after installation.
During the support cycle, Microsoft will provide cumulative updates on a monthly basis to fix security issues. No version changes mean that stability is relatively better.
This is also the reason why many enterprise users like to use long-term service branches, but since they have already used long-term service branches, they should continue to look forward to new versions and new features.
The reason for writing this article is mainly because we have recently received no less than 100 users to consult the new version of LTSC, but now Microsoft will not release a new version.
At present, the latest version is Windows 10 LTSC 2019 version, which is based on Windows 10 Version 1809 version, so the function is somewhat outdated.
In Windows 10 Version 1903 and 2004, Microsoft has developed a large number of new features. If users use the LTSC version, they will naturally not be able to experience it.
As stated at the beginning of the article, if the user chooses the long-term service version in pursuit of stability, it should require more patience to prepare for a long-term update.
Strictly speaking, the long-term service version is not suitable for ordinary users. After all, it is more difficult for Microsoft to pursue stability and new features.
So here we also want to remind you that if you really choose the long-term service branch, you must have enough patience or this version is not for you.
