Yahoo announced to close the Yahoo Groups service
Yahoo announced that it will gradually shut down the Yahoo Groups website. From October 28th, users will no longer be able to post new content to this site; by December 14th, all previously published content will be permanently deleted. Yahoo said the Yahoo Groups website will continue to exist, but all public groups will be made private or restricted. Any new team member will need to apply to join or be invited by the administrator. Although some features are limited, administrators can still manage various group settings.
