Xiaomi will not pre-installed any Chinese apps blocked by India

Previously, the Indian government used the so-called endangering national security and territorial integrity as an excuse to block many applications from Chinese developers to prevent Indian users from using them, including TikTok, WeChat, Baidu, Weibo, Tencent series games, UC browser and other applications, and even Xiaomi browser.

In response to the issue of Xiaomi’s browser being blocked, Xiaomi officials also announced yesterday that they will learn about the situation from the Indian government and take appropriate measures when necessary.

However, it seems that not only the Xiaomi browser is hopeless to lift the ban, Xiaomi will also launch a new version of the MIUI operating system in India to delete pre-installed Chinese applications that have been blocked by India.

Xiaomi’s global vice president and executive president of Xiaomi India issued a statement on Twitter that Xiaomi is about to launch a new version of the MIUI operating system for the Indian market.

The new version of the MIUI operating system will be a clean operating system without any applications banned by the Indian government, including Xiaomi’s own Mi Browser.

Xiaomi stated that it will fully abide by the regulations of the Indian government and will keep all the data of Xiaomi’s Indian users on servers in India and will not be transmitted.

In the next few weeks, Xiaomi will continue to push new versions to Indian users to complete the above work. Xiaomi emphasizes that it has 100% compliance with Indian government regulations.
