XFX released three new Radeon RX 7800 XT/7700 XT graphics cards
In recent times, AMD’s partners have been unveiling new products featuring the Navi 32 core. XFX, one of AMD’s premier graphics card collaborators, has followed suit, announcing the release of the new Radeon RX 7800/7700 XT graphics cards, belonging to the MERC and QICK series respectively.
XFX appears to have streamlined its product lineup, narrowing down its new offerings. While the MERC and QICK series may bear a superficial resemblance, such as the tri-fan cooling design, 13-blade fans, and dual BIOS capabilities, they possess distinctive characteristics. The MERC series is positioned at a higher echelon, boasting all features of the XFX graphics card, while the QICK series is tailored for mainstream gamers. Additionally, the backplate designs diverge; the MERC series exudes a more dynamic feel. Lastly, while the MERC series sports the illuminated XFX logo, the QICK series opts for a more subdued, non-illuminated design.
The known new graphics cards provided by XFX include:
- XFX Radeon RX 7800 XT QICK 319 Core Edition (RX-78TQICKF9)
- XFX Radeon RX 7800 XT MERC 319 Black Edition (RX-78TMERCB9)
- XFX Radeon RX 7700 XT QICK 319 Black Edition (RX-77TQICKB9)
XFX has yet to disclose specific specifications of the new graphics cards, such as core frequencies or total power consumption. It’s understood that the MERC series has a 2.75-slot thickness and utilizes a VC even-heat plate cooling design, while the QICK series has a 2.5-slot thickness.
The Radeon RX 7800 XT, equipped with Navi 32, features 60 CUs, or 3,840 stream processors, an Infinity Cache of 64MB, and is accompanied by 16GB of GDDR6 memory, with a memory bandwidth of 256 bits and a memory speed of 19.5 Gbps. The Radeon RX 7700 XT, also housing the Navi 32 but in a trimmed version, will have the CU count reduced to 54, equating to 3,456 stream processors. The Infinity Cache is correspondingly decreased to 48MB, with a memory capacity of 12GB, a memory bandwidth of 192 bits, and a memory speed of 18 Gbps. In alignment with previous Radeon RX 7000 series products, they will also feature a DP 2.1 interface.
