Windows 11 may soon support third-party widgets
The Windows 11 system supports the widget function, but the current consumer version mainly supports news and interest modules and does not support other software tools. The enterprise version has slightly more widgets than the consumer version, but they are all widgets for enterprise productivity, so the overall usability is actually very low. There has been news that Microsoft may open the widget function, allowing more third-party software to support widgets to provide users with more excellent widgets.
When a developer checked the Microsoft Store developer policy, they found that Microsoft had quietly added a reminder that package widgets and network widgets would be coming soon.

Package widgets refer to software classes that add widget functions, that is, third-party developers can also create creative widgets through Microsoft’s open API interface. Microsoft’s suggestion is that developers try to publish widgets in the app store to increase discoverability.
