Windows 10X will introduce a modern file manager
In recent years, with the version change of the Windows 10 feature update, the file manager’s user interface and interactive experience have been greatly improved. For example, in the upcoming Windows 10 November 2019 update, Microsoft will make significant improvements to the file manager’s built-in search capabilities.
According to the recent leaked Windows 10X design document, Microsoft has plans to further optimize the file manager. As shown in the internal design document, Windows 10X will have the “Modern File Explorer” feature, but it is not clear whether this is based on the improvement of the existing file manager or the complete construction of a new manager.
It’s unclear why Microsoft doesn’t release a modern file manager on Windows 10, but the upcoming file manager for Windows 10X systems for traditional notebooks and collapsible devices will see significant improvements.
