Windows 10 preview confirms that the Sun Valley update will use floating menus
Sun Valley project is about to release the Windows 10 21H2 version update in the fall. This version is a major update and therefore has many new features and UI changes.
Earlier, we have mentioned that in the Sun Valley project, Microsoft may adopt a floating menu, that is, the separation of the menu content from the border content looks like it is floating.
But before this, only the code can show this tendency. Microsoft has not confirmed it. Now the floating menu has been confirmed in the Windows 10 preview.
When we right-clicked the taskbar icon, the pop-up menu also began to float, that is, there is a very obvious space gap between it and the taskbar.
This is also the reason that Microsoft uses to express the floating menu. It is like the start menu and the taskbar menu floating on the desktop, which has a kind of light experience.
Of course, as shown in the figure, the taskbar menu has also begun to use rounded corners. Because the entire system of Windows 10 will become a new rounded corner design in the future.
Although Microsoft has not officially explained such content, the preview version has confirmed this content, so more users will receive the new menu style in the future.
This type of menu style is also a key update of the user interface brought by Microsoft in the Sun Valley project. At the same time, the start menu will also use this floating style.
