Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18980 added WSL2 support for ARM64 devices
Microsoft has already pushed Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18980 to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring. This update doesn’t have many new features. The Microsoft Cortana is now available to users in all English-speaking countries, and the full selection of optional features is also available to all users participating in the test. These features are mentioned earlier but not all users can use them. The new version is mainly to expand the scope of testing to allow more users to experience these features. The new feature added to this version is WSL2 support for ARM64 devices.
If you are using an ARM-based device, you can now enable WSL 2 and install a variety of Linux distributions such as Ubuntu. This release also contains multiple bug fixes, including a long-standing issue for legacy Windows symlinks (for example those in the user profile directory.)
