Windows 10 20H2 and version 1909 will reach end-of-support on May 10

According to the product lifecycle statement released by Microsoft, the Windows 10 20H2 consumer series version will officially end support on May 10, 2022. At the same time, the commercial version series of Windows 10 v1909 also ended the additional support cycle on the same day, so users must upgrade the supported version in time.

Windows 10 20H2 consumer editions will end support on May 10, 2022, after which Microsoft will no longer provide any updates to these editions. The editions involved include Windows 10 Home China, Home Edition, Professional Edition, Professional Workstation, Professional Education Edition, etc. The versions not involved include Windows 10 Enterprise and Enterprise Education, which have additional support cycles and can continue to be used for the time being. There is no additional support period for the consumer version, so the life cycle is about to end, and users need to upgrade to at least Windows 10 21H1 to continue the update.

The consumer version of Windows 10 v1909 has already ended support, and this time the end of support is the commercial version, which is the enterprise version, and the education version of the enterprise branch. The current commercial version is in extended support so it can continue to be used, but the end of extended support after May 10, 2022, means the end of the life cycle. After expiration, all versions of Windows 10 v1909 will withdraw from the historical stage and will no longer receive any security updates. Enterprises and educational institutions should upgrade as soon as possible. Although the optional version also includes Windows 10 version 20H1, this version will soon end its support. It is recommended that enterprises directly upgrade to version 21H1 or 21H2.
