Wi-Fi Alliance, Bluetooth SIG, JEDEC and SD Association have resumed Huawei membership
Following the SD Memory Card Association (SDA), more industry organizations began to reinstate Huawei membership. On May 29, we found that industry organizations such as the WiFi Alliance, the Bluetooth Technology Alliance, and the JEDEC Association have regained their membership in Huawei.
On the official website of the WiFi Alliance shows that Huawei is a list of members of the alliance. WiFi Alliance was established in 1999 and is responsible for WiFi authentication and trademark licensing. The main purpose is to set wireless technology standards on a global scale and to implement compatible certification and trademark authorization for WiFi products. At present, there are more than 800 members in the alliance, and Intel, Qualcomm, Broadcom, and Apple are all members. WiFi is also one of the most widely used wireless technologies in the world.
In addition to WiFi, a widely used wireless connection technology, Bluetooth technology is also very popular in consumer electronics, the most common being Bluetooth headsets. It is understood that the Bluetooth SIG (Bluetooth Technology Alliance), which previously approved and certified all Bluetooth devices, also suspended Huawei membership. Bluetooth organization resumes Huawei membership.
On the Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC) official website shows that Huawei has re-established membership in the JEDEC Association. JEDEC was founded in 1958 as part of the Electronic Industry Association (EIA) to set standards for the emerging semiconductor industry. In 1999, JEDEC became an independent association. The development of voluntary standards that promote openness, accessibility, and speedy completion remains the core business of JEDEC. The JEDEC committee leads industry standards development in a wide range of technical areas, including joint standards with other organizations. JEDEC has nearly 300 member companies, including almost all of the top 100 companies in the industry.
SD Association has retraced its steps, re-entering Huawei on the list, without however issuing an official communication on the matter.
