Ubuntu 19.04 will reaches End-of-Life soon
Are you still using Ubuntu 19.04 ‘Disco Dingo’? If so, please consider upgrading to version 19.10 as soon as possible. Ubuntu 19.04 was released 9 months ago (ie April 18, 2019). But because it is a non-LTS version, only 9 months of application updates and security patches are available.
Now the 9-month period is coming, and official support for Ubuntu 19.04 will end on January 23, 2020. After this date, if you still use it, you will no longer receive any application updates and bug fixes. It is important not to get any critical security patches.
In this regard, the official recommended upgrade path is to upgrade to 19.10 (this version was released in October last year), and then wait until the Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is released before upgrading to this version. Although Ubuntu 19.10 is also a non-LTS version, according to its life cycle, 19.10 will receive official updates and patch support until July 2020.
With Ubuntu 20.04 LTS planned to be released in April, if you upgrade to 19.10 now, you will be able to smoothly upgrade to the new version when 20.04 is released, and you can continue to receive official technical support.
