Ubuntu 17.10 is now based on the 4.12.7 kernel final version

Last week, the team announced that it had developed a test based on the 4.12 branch of the raspberry division, and today the kernel has moved from the artful-uplink library to the stable channel. According to the announcement released earlier today, Ubuntu Kernel team said Ubuntu 17.10 has been based on Linux Kernel 4.12.7 version.

 

If your PC is running Ubuntu 17.10 system, then you can install the stable version of the software library, automatically receive the latest Linux Kernel 4.12 branch kernel.

According to the half-month announcement released in June this year, Canonical’s Ubuntu Kernel team said: Ubuntu 17.10 (Artful Aardvark) system is based on Linux Kernel 4.13 kernel. While Ubuntu 17.10 plans to enter the functional freeze phase at the end of this month (August 24), the core freeze is October 5 this year, the final version scheduled for this year’s October 19 release.
