The latest market data shows that Windows 10 share continues to rise and will soon reach 50%
The latest statistics from market research companies show that Microsoft’s Windows 10 version has seen a significant increase in operating system market share last month. The overall market share of the Windows 10 system increased from 45.79% to 48.86%. It is expected that the system share of Windows 10 will exceed 50% this month. Of course, since there is growth, there must be a decline in the operating system share. The actual share of these growths is mostly from Windows 7.
Of course, rapid growth is mainly due to the fact that Windows 7 will stop supporting. According to Microsoft, this version of the system will end its security support at the beginning of next year. Ending support means that Microsoft will not fix even if it finds a security hole, and there is a high-security risk for users to continue using Windows 7. This is why many users quickly upgrade in the next six months, of course, most of these users are using the Windows 7 Enterprise.
Most Windows 7 users choose Windows 10 when they upgrade, but there are exceptions. These users choose other versions that are still supported. This version is actually a long-released version of Windows 8.1, according to Microsoft Announcement Windows 8.1 extended security support as of October 2023. For users, Windows 8.1 can still enjoy three years of security support, and this version is more stable than Windows 10.
