The content of the Intel Innovation event did not mention Alder Lake
Intel held the “Intel Accelerates Process and Packaging Innovations” conference in July this year. It was then announced that from October 27th to 28th this year, another summit called “Intel Innovation” will be held in San Francisco, USA, and it will be conducted simultaneously online and offline.
As the summit is approaching, Intel has issued invitations to relevant parties, who need to register online to participate, and at the same time confirm that it will be launched in a virtual event form. This is different from the previous simultaneous online and offline publicity. Probably because of the severe situation of the coronavirus epidemic, Intel canceled the original offline activities after consulting the local health authorities.
In the official invitation letter, Intel listed the topics that CEO Pat Gelsinger will discuss with the invited guests, including artificial intelligence, 5G, edge, cloud, connectivity, and PC solutions. However, Alder Lake does not appear.
There have been rumors that Intel may further introduce the big.LITTLE hybrid architecture used by Alder Lake at this summit, and even release the 12th generation Core series processors, but it will not be officially released until November 19. In addition, the event requires registration to participate, indicating that there should be no product launches, otherwise non-registered users can also watch it. It seems that the greater opportunity on November 19 is the time for Intel to hold a new product launch conference.
