Tesla officially released Model S Plaid
In the past, car fans discussed the Bugatti Veyron, a hypercar that accelerates within 3 seconds from 0 to 60 mph, and they have felt that it is very exaggerated. Generally, mass-produced electric vehicles have more direct acceleration performance than the past fuel-powered vehicles. Now Tesla has recently announced the new Model S Plaid. This electric four-door sedan positioned at the luxury level has an acceleration of only 2.1 seconds from 0 to 60 mph. They claim that this is the fastest mass-produced car to date.
In fact, earlier this year, Tesla probably introduced Model S Plaid, and even the price was directly given at $129,990. Because it is only a modification of Model S, the appearance design is basically the same as most configurations, except that the powertrain is replaced with 3 sets of high-performance motors. The total power can reach 1020 horsepower. Model S Plaid would deliver acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in under 2 seconds.
Musk said, in a pair of tweets hyping Model S Plaid before the deliveries kickoff: “Plaid+ is canceled. No need, as Plaid is just so good,” adding “0 to 60mph in under 2 secs. Quickest production car ever made of any kind. Has to be felt to be believed.”
In other respects, Model S Plaid has also switched to a new front heat pump system, and the interior has also undergone major changes. The most special thing is the spaceship-style steering wheel, which also includes improvements such as seats, a multi-speaker sound system, and a multimedia system.
