Sony will hold a “Next ONE Is Coming” event on 10th May

Sony, which has had no concrete news of new phone products in the first half of this year, finally confirmed earlier that it will host a “Next ONE is coming” launch event at 9 pm Western US, on 10th May and unveil its next-generation flagship phone.

Based on the name of the launch event, it is anticipated that the new device to be revealed is the rumored Xperia 1 V. However, it is unclear whether the Xperia 10 series models will also be announced simultaneously.

From the teaser image, one can see what appear to be image sensors, which may suggest that the new device will further improve its camera capabilities and possibly use Sony’s new image sensor. Additionally, there was a report earlier that Sony also intends to introduce an image sensor with over 100 million pixels, competing with Samsung’s image sensor in terms of ultra-high resolution shooting performance.

In addition, judging from the fact that Sony has also maintained a deep cooperative relationship with Qualcomm in the past, the upcoming new phone will also be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and it is expected to maintain the usual square body line design of Sony mobile phones in the past.
