Sony launches WF-C700N true wireless earbuds
Following the recent release of the reasonably priced, mid-range WH-CH720N over-ear active noise-canceling headphones featuring the same V1 chip as the WH-1000XM5, Sony has also announced the launch of its new WF-C700N true wireless earbuds, which similarly incorporate active noise-canceling capabilities.
The WF-C700N is essentially an upgraded version of the WF-C500 released two years ago. In addition to incorporating Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, the earbuds also feature active noise cancellation and are available in black, white, and purple color variants, with an additional green option exclusive to the Hong Kong market.
Hardware-wise, the earbuds employ a 5mm dynamic driver, support SBC and AAC audio encoding technologies, and are compatible with DSEE digital sound enhancement and 360 Reality Audio effects. They also facilitate swift pairing with Android and Windows devices, boast IPX4 water resistance, and have a per-earbud weight of 4.6 grams, with the charging case weighing 35 grams.
As for battery life, a full charge enables up to 10 hours of usage, which is reduced to 7.5 hours when the active noise-canceling feature is enabled.
Currently, the WF-C700N has a suggested retail price of $119.99 in the North American market.
