Softbank may eventually let ARM list individually in the US and UK
Relevant sources revealed that Softbank may eventually choose to list ARM individually in the United States and the United Kingdom to win more funds.
Prior to this, Softbank was originally scheduled to be listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange in the United States. The British government is actively attracting Softbank to be listed on the London Stock Exchange. It is hoped that this will combine with the development of the UK’s real estate industry and at the same time promote the development of the local technology industry.
According to a Bloomberg report, now Softbank intends to list ARM individually in the United States and the United Kingdom. More shares may be sold in the United States, but only part of the shares will be reserved for sale in the United Kingdom. But it is clear that a better balance can be struck between securing more funding and cooperating with the UK government, while at the same time ensuring the benefits of ARM’s listing in the UK.
At present, Softbank hopes to obtain a market valuation of at least $60 billion through ARM. The main reaction is that NVIDIA had previously planned to acquire Arm for $40 billion. Subsequently, due to the increase in the market value of NVIDIA’s stock, the actual acquisition amount has relatively increased to $66 billion.
