Smart copy feature in Microsoft Edge will preserve the rich web format

Copying text content or even pictures through the copy or paste function that comes with your browser or operating system is very simple, even if you paste it, you will not lose its style.

But users who frequently use forms should know that copying and pasting forms through the browser is a huge problem because the special layout of the form is easy to make style mistakes.

For example, when copying and pasting tables, many webpages will directly discard the table style and paste the text content only.

To address the problem of copy-paste tables, Microsoft is currently developing a new feature called Smart Copy, which will be integrated into the Microsoft Edge browser.

The smart copy function will provide additional options for the user. When the user needs to copy more complex content such as tables, the user can choose the smart copy function.

After selecting this function, you can use the mouse to drag and select the table content to be copied, and then there will be no format errors when pasting the table on other web pages.

It is worth noting that this feature is actually a copy and paste developed by Microsoft, which will also cause errors if you paste other browser window styles.

This problem is actually related to both the browser and the corresponding web page, so you can only copy and paste on the page opened by the Microsoft Edge browser.

This feature is currently in the development stage and will not be available to users for the time being. Microsoft said that the smart copy function will be pushed to the beta channel next month.
