Samsung Galaxy S21+ equipped with Exynos 2100 chip
Earlier news, whistleblower Ice Universe claimed that although the performance of Samsung’s next-generation flagship smartphone chip Exynos 1000 is not as good as Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 875, the gap between the two is getting smaller, and at the same time, GPUs from AMD will be used in 2022.
Recently, Geekbench result posted an exposure of the Samsung Galaxy S21+ equipped with an Exynos 2100 chip, which is not the same as the naming of the next-generation processors we have learned before. It is speculated that Samsung may change the Exynos 1000 to Exynos 2100.
According to the news, the Exynos 2100 chip will be built with a 5nm process, using an eight-core design of 1 super large core + 3 large cores + 4 small cores. The frequency of the super large core has reached 2.91GHz, the frequency of the large core is 2.81GHz, and the small core It is 2.21GHz. If Samsung can further optimize the heat dissipation design of the Galaxy S21+, it is not difficult to see the super-large nuclear frequency breaking through 3GHz.
In terms of GPU, the Exynos 2100 chip uses ARM Mali-G78 GPU, which supports up to 24 core design, but actual chip manufacturers will not put such a core. In terms of performance, Mali-G78 is up to 25% higher than the previous generation Mali-G77. A 15% performance improvement was achieved under the same process.
The running score data shows that the performance of the Exynos 2100 chip has surpassed the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip, but according to the Ice Universe revelations, it can’t beat the Snapdragon 875 chip.
