RX 7600 XT Duo & Unexpected RX 7800/7700 Spotted
In May of this year, AMD unveiled the Radeon RX 7600, a new generation mainstream graphics card based on the RDNA 3 architecture. It features a Navi 33 GPU, a 32MB Infinity Cache, and is equipped with 32 Compute Units and 2048 stream processors. The gaming frequency is set at 2250 MHz with a boost frequency of 2625 MHz. It is paired with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM, featuring a 128-bit memory interface and a memory speed of 18 Gbps. The total power consumption of the card is 165W, requiring only a single 8-pin external power connector.
Several months ago, there was speculation that AMD might introduce the Radeon RX 7600 XT, further enriching the Radeon RX 7000 series product line. Recent filings with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) revealed two models of the Radeon RX 7600 XT. Surprisingly, there was also mention of the Radeon RX 7800/7700.
The Radeon RX 7600 offers performance comparable to the Radeon RX 6600 XT and incorporates new technologies, making it an impressive mainstream product. However, due to its significant specification gap with the earlier Radeon RX 7700/7800 XT, and with the phasing out of the older Radeon RX 6000 series, AMD needs to fill this void. It is speculated that the Radeon RX 7600 XT might be equipped with 16GB of VRAM and upgrade its GPU from Navi 33 to Navi 32 to increase the number of stream processors and enhance performance.
The emergence of the Radeon RX 7800/7700 models is not entirely unexpected, given that there is ample room to expand the Radeon RX 7000 series. However, these documents submitted to the EEC typically only indicate planned products and do not guarantee their release; they could merely be placeholders.
