ROG CROSSHAIR VIII EXTREME motherboard officially released

In mid-June, information about the new motherboard CROSSHAIR VIII EXTREME of ASUS ROG Players Kingdom has been circulated on the Internet, and this motherboard has finally been officially released a few days ago. It is based on the AMD X570 motherboard chip. It is the sixth motherboard based on the X570 chip under the ROG Player Nation, and it is currently the highest-positioned X570 chip motherboard in the ROG Player.

The CROSSHAIR VIII EXTREME motherboard is built with an E-ATX form factor, with a size of 305*277mm, comes with a 2-inch LiveDash OLED screen, and supports Aura Sync, equipped with 18+2 phase power supply design, 5 M.2 slots are provided.

The onboard front USB Type-C interface is USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 mode and supports 60W PD fast charging. The rear I/O provides two Thunderbolt 4 interfaces and integrates WiFi 6E wireless network card, Intel 2.5Gbps wired network card, and Marcell AQtion 10G wired network card.

It is also worth mentioning that the early AMD X570 chips generally need to be equipped with a heat sink with a fan to ensure stable operation. However, CROSSHAIR VIII EXTREME seems to be equipped with a passive heat sink. Therefore, this motherboard should not only use X570 chips but the upgraded X570S chips of the same model as CROSSHAIR VIII DARK HERO. The heat will be lower.

At present, ASUS has not announced the price of the CROSSHAIR VIII EXTREME motherboard and the exact time to market.
