Red Devil RX 7800 XT has been revealed by PowerColor
During a recent earnings conference, AMD announced plans to introduce additional RX 7000 series graphics cards within this quarter, and now, their AIB partner has created significant buzz by accidentally unveiling the product page for the Radeon RX 7800 XT Red Devil by PowerColor.
This all-new RX 7800 XT employs the RDNA 3 architecture’s Navi 32 GPU, while the earlier-released RX 7900 GRE utilizes the Navi 31 XL GPU. The RX 7800 XT boasts 60 CU units with a total of 3840 stream processors, fewer than the RX 6800 XT’s 4608. Mirroring the RX 6800, the RX 7800 XT Red Devil’s gaming frequency is set at 2255MHz, and its Boost frequency reaches 2565MHz. Additionally, the product page has disclosed AMD’s standard frequencies of 2210MHz and 2520MHz.
The Red Devil RX 7800 XT is equipped with 16GB GDDR6 video memory, a 256-bit memory bandwidth, an effective data rate of 18Gbps, and a memory bandwidth of 576GB/s. Inside the GPU, there are 64MB of Infinity Cache. It can be observed that the graphics card utilizes dual 8-pin power connectors, and the officially recommended power supply is 800W, leading to an estimated total board power (TBP) of approximately 300W.
The depicted image consistently appears to feature 4 MCDs of Navi 31, indicating that the RX 7800 XT likely involves a mixture of Navi 31 and Navi 32 components. According to official details, the graphics card employs an 11+3+1+2+1 phase VRM power design, integrated with IMON real-time digital monitoring and DrMOS. The cooling solution consists of three 10cm diameter fans paired with an 8-pipe 6mm heat sink. The base of the heat sink is made of copper, and it is set upon a 14-layer PCB.
This inadvertent leak of specifications is bound to have repercussions for PowerColor, especially since AMD has not officially launched this graphics card yet. The fastest anticipated news was expected at the Cologne Game Show at the end of the month, so the premature revelation comes as an unexpected development.
