Qualcomm launches Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders
Google has designed the Nexus series of mobile phones by itself to show the hardware and software characteristics of the Android system, and give you some guidelines for making Android mobile phones. Now Qualcomm has also chosen to build a demonstration machine based on their Snapdragon chip technology, called Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon model with a long name is actually from ASUS foundry, so there are many ROG gaming phones and ZenPhone features on it. For example, the front side does not use the popular digging screen, but a widescreen with the upper and lower jaws. The specification is 6.78 inches 1080p+ resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, maximum 1200 peak brightness, etc., covered with Corning Gorilla Victus glass.
The most important internal hardware is naturally the Snapdragon 888 chip. The highest CPU frequency is 2.84GHz, but Qualcomm actually released the Snapdragon 888 Plus some time ago. The super-large core has a higher frequency, so this is not the latest and highest-end chip, but in terms of 5G network support, it must be the most complete at present. 5G Sub 6 SA/NSA and 5G mmWave can be supported, with dual the SIM card slot can be dual 5G standby.
However, although it is known as the Snapdragon demonstration machine, it still lacks some of Qualcomm’s key technologies, such as the 100W power QC 5 fast charge, which only supports 65W (although this is already very fast). There is also its rear camera, which only uses the older Sony IMX686 and IMX363 modules. It can shoot up to 3 tracks of 4K HDR video at the same time, or shoot 3 28MP photos at the same time.
Qualcomm Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders will be on sale in August this year, but it will only be sold to their fan community, and the price is as high as $1,500.
