Python will become the official programming language for French high schools, which will bring hundreds of thousands or even millions of new users.ย The news came fromย Nina, a developer of Cloud Developer Advocate, a senior software developer, Pythonista, and a well-known lecturer.

Nina’s point of view comes from a draft of theย high school teaching curriculum reformย published by Eduscol on the French Ministry of Education website and is currently collecting opinions and suggestions from the education community.ย Inย the course “Mathematics and Computer Science,”ย there are indications that Python will be used for teaching.ย As planned, these courses will be submitted to the Higher Education Commission at the end of December, then announced in early 2019 and will be implemented at the beginning of the new school year.
