Python will become the official programming language for French high schools
Python will become the official programming language for French high schools, which will bring hundreds of thousands or even millions of new users. The news came from Nina, a developer of Cloud Developer Advocate, a senior software developer, Pythonista, and a well-known lecturer.
Python will be the official programming language for education in France. That's incredible! Hundreds of thousands or even millions of new users. #PyParis

Nina’s point of view comes from a draft of the high school teaching curriculum reform published by Eduscol on the French Ministry of Education website and is currently collecting opinions and suggestions from the education community. In the course “Mathematics and Computer Science,” there are indications that Python will be used for teaching. As planned, these courses will be submitted to the Higher Education Commission at the end of December, then announced in early 2019 and will be implemented at the beginning of the new school year.
