Philips launches Evnia 27M2N5500 monitor
Philips has announced the launch of its new Evnia 5000 series gaming monitor: the 27M2N5500. The Evnia brand is geared towards young gamers, and Philips has previously released a range of products under this brand, spanning from high-end to mainstream. Philips states that this product offers gamers a consistently exceptional performance and an exciting gaming experience, while also emphasizing sustainability with a new eco-friendly design, including a stand base made from 35% recycled plastic.
The 27M2N5500 gaming monitor features a three-sided narrow bezel design in a classic rock black color. It is equipped with a 27-inch Fast IPS panel, 10-bit color depth (8-bit + FRC), a 178-degree viewing angle (both horizontal and vertical), and an anti-glare coating. The display has a 16:9 aspect ratio, a resolution of 2K (2560 x 1440), a response time of 1ms GtG / 0.5ms MPRT, a refresh rate of 180Hz, a brightness of 350 nits, a typical contrast ratio of 1200:1, a DCI-P3 color gamut of 93.5%, an sRGB color gamut of 125%, an Adobe RGB color gamut of 89%, and a color accuracy with a Delta E of less than 2. It supports Adaptive Sync technology and has received VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification.
The 27M2N5500 gaming monitor includes two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, and an audio jack. The ergonomic stand is adjustable, with a height adjustment range of 0 to 130mm, horizontal swivel from -30° to 30°, tilt from -5° to 20°, and vertical rotation from -90° to 90°. Additionally, it supports 100 x 100 mm VESA mounting, allowing gamers to use an arm stand.
The 27M2N5500 gaming monitor will be available in May 2024, priced at £239.99.
