PC configuration requirements for Redfall: Minimum 6GB video memory graphics card
Developed by Arkane Austin and published by Bethesda, “Redfall” is set to officially launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC on May 2nd. Recently, Bethesda unveiled the game’s PC requirements, and unlike the console version which offers a 30FPS benchmark for graphical quality, PC players can expect higher frame rates thanks to the flexibility of PC hardware. However, Bethesda did not specify the corresponding resolutions and frame rates for these configurations.
The minimum requirements for “Redfall” are an i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 1600, both of which are 6-core processors, but the Ryzen 5 1600 supports multithreading. The required graphics cards are the RX 580 or GTX 1070, both released between 2016 and 2017. However, Bethesda explicitly states that the minimum configuration graphics card should have 6GB of VRAM, suggesting that the RX 580 4GB may be excluded.
The recommended configuration CPUs are 8-core processors, such as the i7-9700K or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, with graphics cards being the RX 5700, RTX 2080, or Intel Iris Xe, all featuring 8GB of VRAM. In fact, this description is rather ambiguous, not to mention the significant performance gap between the RX 5700 and RTX 2080, as well as the lack of specificity regarding the Intel Iris Xe model.
For the ultimate configuration, the recommended CPU remains an 8-core processor, while the graphics card is upgraded to an RX 6800 XT, RTX 3080, or another card with 10GB or more of VRAM, indicating that the ultimate configuration likely targets a 4K resolution. Memory requirements also increase from 16GB to 32GB.
