Patriot & MSI Unleash Viper Xtreme 5 RGB: DDR5 for Power Users
Patriot has announced a collaboration with MSI to launch the new Viper Xtreme 5 RGB DDR5 MPOWER series memory. This high-speed DDR5 memory kit is designed for gamers, overclocking enthusiasts, and high-end users, meeting the performance demands of gaming, content creation workstations, and other intensive applications.
The Viper Xtreme 5 RGB DDR5 MPOWER series has overall dimensions of 0.6 cm (L) x 13.5 cm (W) x 4.4 cm (H), with a weight of 49g.
The new product features an all-silver aesthetic with heat spreaders forged from aluminum, perfectly complementing MSI’s Z790 MPOWER motherboard. This combination of refined craftsmanship and RGB lighting effects gives the product an expressive visual appeal. Additionally, Patriot has employed professional-grade thermal conductive silicone pads to ensure a tight bond between the heat spreaders and memory chips, further enhancing heat dissipation efficiency.
Similar to many counterparts, the Viper Xtreme 5 RGB DDR5 MPOWER series memory features unique RGB light strips that allow for customization. Users can easily achieve seamless integration and synchronized lighting effects with other devices using MSI Mystic Light or Patriot’s Viper RGB application, creating an immersive RGB lighting system.
The Viper Xtreme 5 RGB DDR5 MPOWER series is available in single module capacities of 16GB and 24GB, and in kits of 32GB and 48GB. It operates at a JEDEC standard rate of 5600MT/s and supports Intel XMP 3.0 one-click overclocking technology, achieving speeds up to 8000MT/s. It runs at a voltage of 1.45V with timings of CL 46-46-46-90.
The memory is equipped with a Power Management IC (PMIC), transferring power management from the motherboard to the memory for better load optimization. It also features on-die ECC error correction, allowing it to self-correct DRAM cells, thereby ensuring greater stability.
