Overclocking enthusiasts overclock the Intel Pentium G7400T to 5.8GHz

Recently, many overclockers have begun to use some non-K-series Alder Lake processors for overclocking and even broke some overclocking world records. Generally, the new generation of Celeron, Pentium, and Core i3 processors are selected. The effect of overclocking is quite obvious, and the performance improvement is quite large.
According to TomsHardware, professional overclocker Hicookie recently overclocked the Intel Pentium G7400T from the original 3.1 GHz to 5.8 GHz by increasing the FSB of the Pentium G7400T, which should be one of the fastest dual-core processors ever. The last time Intel offered an overclockable Pentium processor was in 2014 when it released the Haswell-based Pentium Processor Anniversary Edition (G3258) for $72. With the re-emergence of Alder Lake overclocking through FSB, it has opened the door for users to obtain higher performance at a low price, and I believe some users will try to do so.

The Pentium G7400T is a dual-core, four-thread product with a clock of 3.1 GHz, 2.5MB of L2 cache, and 6MB of L3 cache. Intel itself is positioning the Pentium series to be used on low-cost PCs, and the official suggested retail price of this Pentium G7400T is only $64.
Hicookie increased the FSB of the Pentium G7400T to 187MHz and the voltage to 1.656V. It used liquid nitrogen for heat dissipation, and with the Z690 motherboard, the frequency of the Pentium G7400T finally reached 5808MHz. Of course, this overclocking method has no reference for ordinary users. 5.8 GHz cannot be said to be the highest frequency dual-core processor, but given the performance advantages of the new architecture, this is perhaps the most powerful dual-core processor.
