Nvidia released the GeForce RTX 40 series based on the Ada Lovelace architecture last month. The GeForce RTX 4090 and GeForce RTX 4080 16GB will have Founders Edition, while the
GeForce RTX 4080 12GB is only a partner product.
According to Moore’s Law is Dead, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 will also have a Founders Edition, featuring a new fan similar to the RTX 4080 16GB / RTX 4090 Founders Edition. Unlike the Founders Edition with AD102/AD103, the GeForce RTX 4070 Founders Edition will be thinner, have dual slot thickness, and shorter than the existing GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition.
It might seem odd that the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB doesn’t have a Founders Edition, while the lower-positioned GeForce RTX 4070 has a Founders Edition. It is rumored that the GeForce RTX 4070 will be unveiled in the first quarter of 2023, equipped with AD104 GPU, with 56 SMs, that is, 7168 CUDA cores, equipped with 10GB of GDDR6X memory, and a bit width of 160 bits. It is not ruled out that 12GB of video memory is still used, the bit width is 192 bits, and the rate may be 18 Gbps or 21 Gbps.
