Nvidia no longer sells the RTX 30 series through its own store
Under normal circumstances, manufacturers give products to well-known e-commerce sites based on traffic considerations, because these e-commerce sites have more users and therefore better sales.
Nvidia seems not to be an exception. A few days ago, Nvidia has decided not to sell RTX30 series graphics cards through its own store but to give it to Best Buy and other partners for consignment sales.
Previously, Nvidia sold RTX30 series graphics cards in its store. A large number of normal players could not buy new graphics cards through the store.
After the scalpers grab the graphics card, they will resell them on eBay with a crazy increase. Some scalpers even sell it at 200%~500% of the original price, but some players still buy it.
This situation certainly made many players angry. Afterward, Nvidia officially stated that it would strengthen risk control and user verification to ensure that real players bought the new version of the graphics card.
But it seems that Nvidia itself is unable to complete the verification work, so Nvidia decided to sell RTX 3080 and 3090 Founders Editions on Best Buy.
Nvidia writes:
We have heard your feedback regarding the NVIDIA online store and are working to improve the experience.
In the meantime, we will be selling our GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 Founders Edition through other partners. In the US, you can shop for Founders Edition at Best Buy – GeForce RTX 3080 and GeForce RTX 3090 . In Europe, we continue to review Founders Edition fulfillment options.
Founders Edition units are limited, and more will be available in the coming weeks alongside an increasing supply of boards from our global board partners.
