Nvidia launches GeForce MX450 for thin and light notebooks

A reminder to friends who don’t know Nvidia’s GeForce MX series graphics cards. This is a discrete graphics card specially designed for thin and light notebook computers by Nvidia. Its performance is worse than that of the GeForce RTX and GTX series gaming graphics cards in the same period.

Today, Nvidia updated the GeForce MX series and launched a new graphics card, the GeForce MX450, and announced that it should begin shipping in laptops this October.

NVIDIA 399.07 WHQL Game Ready Driver

The leaked news shows that the GeForce MX450 is built on the Turing GPU architecture. It also provides two versions of GDDR5 memory and GDDR6 memory. It uses 12nm-based TU117 cores, provides up to 896 stream processors, supports PCIe 4.0, and will support the following technology:
  • NVIDIA Optimus technology
  • NVIDIA GPU Boost
  • NVIDIA Game Ready driver
  • NVIDIA CUDA technology
  • PCI Express 4.0
  • Microsoft DirectX 12
  • Supports Vulkan 1.2
  • OpenGL 4.6
