Nvidia and AMD graphics card prices have decreased

Since entering 2022, the average price of Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series and AMD Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards has been declining, as can be seen from the graphics card price trends compiled by 3DCenter. The latest issue of graphics card price trends shows, whether it’s Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 30 series or AMD’s Radeon RX 6000 series, prices are lower than they were in January 2021.

This means that the price of graphics cards in the market has gradually approached the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP). Looking forward to the price trend of graphics cards in the next stage, there are good reasons to believe that it will soon return to the MSRP. At present, the overall premium of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series and AMD Radeon RX 6000 series is 25%, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series has dropped 16 percentage points from 41% last month, and the AMD Radeon RX 6000 series has dropped 10 percentage points from 35% last month. Going into 2022, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series and AMD Radeon RX 6000 series can drop between 10% and 20% in every price trend statistic.

While manufacturers or retailers have been reluctant to predict when graphics card prices will return to MSRP, however, TechRadar said that a big-name retailer has privately disclosed that graphics card prices are expected to become “attractive” to gamers in late April or early May.

In fact, earlier the price of the AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT at German retailer Mindfactory had fallen below the MSRP. In the graphics card price trend summarized by 3DCenter this time, the premium of AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT is only 1%, which is the smallest among the AMD Radeon RX 6000 series, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti has the smallest premium in the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series, at 7%.
