Norton 360 platform comes with Ethereum mining software to mine crypto
As we all know, mainstream anti-virus software will detect and kill mining software, because in most cases the mining software installed by users is quietly installed by hackers.
What’s interesting is that Norton, a well-known anti-virus software, has even prepared its own mining software. Of course, this is not quiet mining but a user can choose to use it to mine.
If the user chooses to allow mining through Norton 360 platform, part of the profits obtained from mining via the Norton 360 platform will be allocated to the user, thereby benefiting from the user.
Norton stated that the registration for the Norton Crypto project has been opened, and if users are interested in participating, they will obtain the mining function to mine at some point in the future.
When this function is provided, users can open the Norton Crypto feature to participate in mining experiments. In the main mining interface, users can click to start mining or suspend mining at any time.
When the user chooses to start mining, Norton will call the user’s graphics card for Ethereum mining, and the proceeds will be directly uploaded to the Norton wallet in the cloud.
In this way, even if the user’s hard disk is damaged, it will not affect the withdrawal of profits. If the user needs to withdraw, Norton will directly send the Ethereum to the user’s designated wallet.
However, Norton did not specify the profit distribution ratio between Norton and users through this mining project, so it is not known whether Norton receives a higher service commission from it.
It is worth noting that the current mining difficulty of Ethereum is very large, so if users only use their own equipment for mining, the probability of generating blocks is relatively lower.
Norton may gather a large number of users and place them in the same mining pool for mining. Of course, if there are enough users, Norton may also build its own mining pool.
If you build your own mining pool for mining, Norton can get more revenue. At the same time, when the number of users is large enough, the probability of generating blocks will be higher. At that time, users will benefit more.
But then again, from the point of view of the graphics card configuration of most users, the profit of mining is actually very low. After all, the computer has to be used daily and mining consumes electricity.
Therefore, the Norton mining module may suspend mining or reduce mining occupancy when it detects the user’s graphics card load, so as not to affect the user’s normal use.
