New Microsoft Edge browser may have dual engine support
Microsoft’s upcoming version of the Edge browser is likely to include both Chromium Blink and MSHTML (also known as Trident) browser cores, making it easy for browsers to provide backward compatibility for sites designed for IE.
According to sources leak by WalkingCat, the new Edge browser seems to have support for dual-core, the internal function name is “Selfhosting AndIE”, allows the user to load InternetExplorer page tab. Users can open a tab using the Internet Explore kernel while browsing the web using the Chromium Blink kernel.

n the Microsoft Edge internal build version 75.0.109.0 and later, edge://flags an experiment flag called “Enable IE Integration” was added. When the flag is enabled, the same name option will appear in the Edge menu.
