myASUS app supports Android phone screens as Windows 10’s extended secondary screens
Microsoft is currently rapidly changing Your Phone app included with Windows 10, which can connect to an Android device to read SMS, view photos and various notifications. Even on some supported devices, you can make phone calls or screen mirroring directly from your computer, such as using the keyboard and mouse to mirror remote operations.
It is interesting that Dell has also recently updated the mobile assistant application to provide users with more features, but at least at this stage, it seems that the application is not as good as Microsoft in terms of features. And ASUS Technology launched a more outstanding function at the CES 2020 event held a few days ago: the Android screen as an extended screen of Windows 10.
While Microsoft, Dell, and even Samsung are working to make computers operate Android, ASUS Technology wants to use the Android screen as a secondary screen of the computer.
From the live demonstration video, you can drag the Windows 10 application window directly to the phone screen after completing the pairing connection, and of course, you can drag it back.
What’s more, this drag and drop is seamless. Windows 10 connects two displays, and the windows can even be placed half on the computer and half on the phone.
ASUS also adapts the window through the application. When the window is dragged and dropped onto the screen of the mobile phone, the window will be automatically scaled for complete viewing.
If the user has an Android screen or Android tablet with a larger screen, it may be great to use it as a Windows 10 secondary screen when needed.
At the same time, the application developed by ASUS also supports file transfer and calling directly from Android, which is more interesting than your mobile application developed by Microsoft.
In terms of application, ASUS is provided through the company’s service program myASUS. Asus will update the program on January 19 to provide the function of expanding into a secondary screen. This service program was launched by ASUS for the company’s computers and laptops.
However, from the current point of view, the secondary screen function should support all computers and mobile phones, myASUS has been listed in the Microsoft Store for Windows 10 users to download.
The mobile phone requires Android system Android 9.0 and above. As long as the system supports it, you can install Link to MyASUS and connect it to Windows 10.
