MSI Radeon RX 7900 XTX GAMING TRIO CLASSIC lists on Newegg at $1100
MSI showed the Radeon RX 7900 XTX / RX 7900 XT GAMING TRIO CLASSIC products at the CES 2023 exhibition last month, with a custom PCB design, and the same TRI FRZOR 2 cooling system as the previous generation Radeon RX 6000 GAMING X TRIO series. However, the heat dissipation module, support plate, and backplane inside have been modified to accommodate the Navi 31 chip.
According to TechPowerup, the MSI Radeon RX 7900 XTX GAMING TRIO CLASSIC graphics card has appeared on the list of Newegg in the United States recently, and the price is $1100. Compared with the previous French retailer Topachat’s 1229 euros, it is much cheaper.
The Radeon RX 7900 XTX GAMING TRIO CLASSIC has an overall size of 325 x 141 x 56 mm and a thickness of 2.5 slots. It has three Torx Fan 4.0 fans and three 8Pin external power supply interfaces. According to MSI, the TRI FRZOR 2 cooling system allows the new graphics card to achieve a perfect balance between temperature and noise during games; heat pipes ensure maximum contact with the GPU and run throughout the heatsink for better heat dissipation; the thermal pad under the solid metal backplate provides additional cooling, and the better ventilation design can reduce heat retention; better airflow control directs air where it’s needed for maximum cooling.
It is understood that, unlike some of AMD’s board partners, MSI’s Radeon RX 7900 series graphics cards are all customized non-public designs, and there will be no OEM public graphics cards. However, in terms of release progress, MSI is obviously much slower than manufacturers such as ASUS, Sapphire, Biostar, PowerColor, and ASRock.
