MSI launches AXE5400 WiFi USB wireless adapter: supports three-band Wi-Fi 6E

MSI has announced the launch of the AXE5400 WiFi USB wireless adapter. Through a USB interface, this device enables older desktops and laptops to effortlessly connect to 6 GHz networks, offering a plug-and-play installation that makes it a convenient choice for upgrading network capabilities on existing equipment.

The AXE5400 WiFi USB wireless adapter delivers peak data transfer rates, thanks to its support for three distinct frequency bands:

  • 2.4GHz – Up to 574Mbps
  • 5GHz – Up to 2402Mbps
  • 6GHz – Up to 2402Mbps, with 160MHz bandwidth

To fully leverage the connection speed of the AXE5400 WiFi USB wireless adapter, users must employ a router that supports Wi-Fi 6E. Wi-Fi 6E builds upon Wi-Fi 6 by introducing support for the 6GHz frequency band, expanding Wi-Fi 6’s capabilities from the traditional 2.4GHz/5GHz bands to include 2.4GHz/5GHz/6GHz, thereby enhancing connection speeds and reducing latency.

Equipped with an adjustable high-gain antenna and beamforming technology, the AXE5400 WiFi USB wireless adapter ensures optimal signal coverage, directing the signal toward the router to improve signal reception quality for a smooth and stable connection. The MSI FIRST feature minimizes latency when the MSI WiFi USB wireless adapter is used in conjunction with an MSI gaming router. With the latest WPA3 encryption technology, the AXE5400 WiFi USB wireless adapter boasts enhanced security, protecting user privacy from potential attacks.

MSI also includes a stand with the adapter, allowing users to place the AXE5400 WiFi USB wireless adapter in a position with stronger signal strength to boost the network connection quality of the device.
