Minisforum V3: The World’s 1st AMD Windows Tablet Arrives
Over the past few months, Minisforum has been ardently promoting its inaugural Windows 11 tablet, the V3, featuring AMD’s Ryzen mobile processor and equipped with an AI engine to handle various artificial intelligence tasks.
At last night’s online conference, the V3 made its true debut, hailed as the “world’s 1st AMD 3-in-1 Windows tablet” by the official release, which also detailed its specifications.
The V3 tablet measures 318 x 213.8 x 9.8 mm and weighs 946 grams, boasting a magnesium alloy die-cast unibody. It features a 14-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, a resolution of 2560 x 1600, a refresh rate of 165Hz, a brightness of 500 nits, and a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. It supports MPP2.6 stylus touch control with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. The tablet is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 series APU with 8 cores and 16 threads, base and boost frequencies of 3.3 GHz and 5.1 GHz respectively, and a Radeon 780M core. It comes with up to 32GB of LPDDR5-6400 memory and a maximum of 2TB M.2 2280 SSD storage. The device is equipped with dual-fan cooling, enabling a performance release of 28W. It supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 and houses a 50.82Wh battery, accompanied by a 65W PD fast charger.
Additionally, the device features two USB4 ports (supporting Alt PD), a USB-C shaped DP-in, a 3.5mm audio jack, an SD card reader, a 2MP front-facing webcam supporting Windows Hello secure login, and a 5MP rear camera with autofocus. It comes pre-installed with the Windows 11 Pro operating system.
