Microsoft: Windows 11 will be released in October
Previously, when Microsoft launched Windows 11, it only stated that the official version would be released before the end of the year. The specific release period needs to be determined by the progress of subsequent development.
However, Intel has quietly revealed in the driver documentation that the name of the official version of Windows 11 is Windows 11 October 2021 Update. Therefore, it is almost certain that Microsoft has not modified the release time of the operating system version.
The documents Microsoft sent to OEM partners show that if the manufacturer wants the driver to be compatible with Windows 11, the work needs to be completed before September 24.
Specifically, manufacturers need to make their drivers compatible with Windows 10 v2004, and the drivers used by Windows 11 are compatible with this version.
From this perspective, the release of the official version of Windows 11 in October has basically been determined, at least when the OEM manufacturers will get the RTM version of the image in advance.
In this way, those new devices equipped with Windows 11 system, including laptops, can be produced, so that users can purchase new devices when Microsoft launches the official version.
In addition, although the official version is released in October, the push will not start immediately. Microsoft has previously revealed that the official version of Windows 11 will be pushed early next year.
Therefore, users who buy new devices will be the first to obtain and use the official version of Windows 11. Windows 10 users need to wait for Microsoft’s automatic push next year.
