Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 10 Home and Professional edition in 2025

When all parties were discussing the related information about Microsoft is about to launch the next generation of Windows operating system, Microsoft has suddenly issued an announcement. According to the Windows 10 Home Edition and Professional Edition lifecycle page, Microsoft plans to end Windows 10 support work on October 14, 2025.

Microsoft notes:

Important

Microsoft will continue to support at least one Windows 10 Semi-Annual Channel until October 14, 2025.

This means that by then Windows 10 will no longer release any security or quality updates, and users will no longer be able to contact Microsoft for advice when there is a problem with the operating system. In an earnings conference call held in April this year, Microsoft revealed that the monthly active users of Windows 10 have reached 1.3 billion. However, perhaps Microsoft will decide to extend the support period for Windows 10 at some point in the future. After all, there has been a lesson in Windows 7’s past.
