Microsoft will only push Windows 10 v2004 to Windows 10 v1903/1909 for the time being
Earlier, Microsoft launched the official version of Windows 10 Version 2004, but according to the convention, Microsoft will push the new version in batches to prevent problems.
Microsoft’s usual practice is to collect telemetry logs for analysis while pushing. If it finds incompatibilities, it will directly suspend pushing to specific devices.
However, while pushing in batches, Microsoft gives priority to new devices. Generally speaking, newer devices have fewer compatibility issues and are suitable for installing such new stable versions.
At the same time, Microsoft also has doubts about cross-version upgrades, so it is currently only pushing to Windows 10 Version 1903 and Version 1909.
According to official news from Microsoft, the current Windows 10 Version 2004 version will only be pushed for Windows 10 Version 1903/1909.
For the earlier version, even if the user clicks the check update button, they will not receive the push. Microsoft hopes to test the new version and then push it gradually.
Of course, based on stability considerations, it is recommended that consumers and enterprise users who are unwilling to toss not update, for the time being, to prevent certain unknown problems after installing the new version.
