Microsoft will no longer support the “Shake to Minimize” function in Windows 10
Shake to Minimize is a feature provided by Microsoft many years ago. This feature actually takes into account user habits and is therefore also supported in Windows 10.
Even if you hold down a window with the mouse and then shake it, you can minimize other windows, but there are probably very few users who still use this feature.
Therefore, Microsoft added a mark in the beta version to completely disable this feature. According to the development situation, it may stop supporting this feature in the new version next year.
Shake to Minimize is actually a way to help users improve efficiency, especially when there are too many software windows open during busy work, it may be very useful.
For example, when a large number of windows are opened at the same time, and you feel that it is messy, you can use the Shake to Minimize function to minimize all other windows, without minimizing them one by one.
This new feature provided in Windows 7 is actually still used by many workers, but now there may be fewer and fewer users.
In theory, this helps us improve our work efficiency, but sometimes it may also cause the user’s misoperation and cause all windows to be automatically minimized by the system.
Microsoft has not officially released a response to the status of this feature, but from the perspective of the Windows 10 beta, it is really possible that Microsoft will completely stop this feature.
Although the frequency of use of these functions is getting lower and lower, users who are used to it still have to be considered. I don’t know if Microsoft stopping this function will cause controversy.
