Microsoft will fix the problem that a sihost.exe in Windows 11 causes high CPU usage

Microsoft rolled out a cumulative update to Windows Insider users last week to fix the problem that a critical system process, sihost.exe, unexpectedly took up too many CPU resources. If there is no problem with the test, it is expected that the relevant fixes will be pushed to the official version of Windows 11 users in the monthly cumulative update released tomorrow.

KB5014668

This issue was originally submitted by beta users in the Feedback Hub and later received attention from Microsoft engineers who investigated and confirmed the issue. If you see that the Shell Infrastructure Host under the Windows process is too high in the task manager, it is affected by this problem.

Shell Infrastructure Host is a system-critical process that supports Windows 11 taskbar, start menu and other graphical interface interactions. Some mica effects and acrylic effects also depend on this process, so even if the user finds that the process takes up a lot, it cannot be solved directly by killing the process.

According to the Feedback Hub report, occupancy issues with this process may occur on freshly installed systems, depending on the model. In Windows 11 Build 22621/22622.450, Microsoft fixed this problem, and the fix should be pushed to the official channel next.
