Microsoft Update OneDrive provides better user interface and sharing options

Microsoft today announced the future of its OneDrive cloud storage service at the Ignite conference in Orlando. The software giant is improving the OneDrive web interface, has a cleaner UI, and is able to easily view content shared with others through new staff cards and information panes. The interface also includes adjustments to the folder interface.

OneDrive will also improve sharing options with Office, Windows, and Mac. Office 2016 will see new sharing panes in the coming months and allow OneDrive users to share documents with specific people or people in the organization. These updates will also be extended to the mobile client, so you can quickly view the content shared with other people and who access to what the content.

Microsoft has also made some minor changes to OneDrive. ZIP file support will be included in the web view, and the DRM or IRM file will now be fully supported on OneDrive. If the user opens the file on the page version of OneDrive, it will now open in edit mode instead of reading mode, and the mobile and desktop applications will include a shared notification when sharing the file.
